An unusual group of six gray whales (three separate mom and calf pairs) were making their journey back up the coast of Southern California, from the lagoons in Baja to their feeding grounds in the waters off Alaska, when they decided to have a little fun. Just outside of the kelp beds off Orange County, California, the whales began breaching and spy-hopping!

Captain Dave's Dolphin and Whale Watching Safari offers you the opportunity to get close to and view the exquisite California dolphins and California whales, as well as other beautiful sea creatures. We leave from Dana Point Harbor daily, and take you on a 2 1/2 hour ocean adventure. Dana Point is located not too far from Sea World in San Diego California (approximately 60 minutes away). And not too far from Disneyland in Orange County California.
