Dolphin and whale watching with Dolphin Project’s Founder and Director, Ric O’Barry! For over 52 years, Ric has rescued and rehabilitated dolphins in many countries around the world. He is the star of the Academy Award-winning documentary “The Cove”, and has been recognized by many national and international entities for his dedicated efforts.
In 1970, on the first Earth Day, Ric launched a searing campaign against the multi-billion dollar dolphin captivity industry, and the Dolphin Project was born. In celebration of this year’s Earth Day, join Ric O’Barry, Dolphin Project Cove Monitors, and Captain Dave’s on April 20th and 21st for a birthday fundraiser expedition! Captain Dave’s is a certified Responsible Whale Watching partner with the World Cetacean Alliance.
During this 3-hour experience, we’ll be looking for a variety of wildlife including gray whales, humpback whales, fin whales, several different species of dolphins, sea lions and other pinnipeds, pelagic birds, and more. Dana Point is the Dolphin and Whale Watching Capital of the World® and the first Whale Heritage Site in America.
