  • Commemorative Mug:
    Each guest will receive a limited-edition commemorative mug honoring America’s 250th anniversary (one per guest).
  • Arrive Early:
    Expect extremely heavy July 4th traffic and very limited parking in Dana Point Harbor. This is one of the busiest nights of the year. Plan to arrive VERY EARLY.

    For the smoothest experience, consider arriving earlier in the day to enjoy the harbor’s shops, restaurants, and waterfront before your cruise.
  • Allow Ample Driving Time:
    • Please be prepared for temporary road closures before the fireworks show to allow for emergency access vehicles. Road closures will reopen after the show to allow for exiting traffic.

    • At the end of the event, there will be traffic congestion, particularly for those exiting the Harbor parking lots after the fireworks. Allow plenty of time to get home safely.
  • Tip for a Great Fireworks Viewing Experience:
    Temperatures drop 10 degrees or more on the water. Dress in warm layers and bring a blanket.

A Brief History of Our Fireworks Trips

Capt. Dave and Mrs. Capt. DaveCapt. Dave and Mrs. Capt. Dave both came to Dana Point Harbor in 1995. They both thoroughly enjoyed the 4th of July celebration each year, taking friends and family out to see the fabulous show from the water. After they had their daughter, Arielle, they stayed home more and did the friends and family barbecues.

However, several years ago, they had a family ask to take them out for the fireworks show and they did… and they were SO glad that they did. They couldn’t believe they had waited so long to enjoy this fabulous experience!
