This cruise does not provide whale watching. It is designed to be calm and comfortable, so we stay inside the harbor instead of venturing into the open ocean, where unpredictable conditions can affect the experience for both guests and the band. If conditions are calm, the boat may visit the harbor entrance to view sea lions. A variety of seabirds, including pelicans, herons, cormorants, and oystercatchers, are frequently sighted in the marina. And once in a while, bottlenose dolphins mosey into the harbor in search of fun or food.

Settle in at the fun surfboard tables with comfortable bench seating on the main deck, where panoramic windows on both sides frame the harbor. As the boat glides past rows of boats, bustling docks, and the scenic coastal bluffs surrounding the harbor, guests can relax and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch featuring dishes like grilled chicken breast, penne alla checca, crisp Caesar salad, artisan bread served with balsamic and extra virgin olive oil, and more. The meal is perfectly finished with sweet lemon bar cups drizzled with raspberry sauce and topped with fresh raspberries.
Live music from UBU, a local ukulele duet known for their beach rhythm sound, provides the perfect coastal soundtrack throughout the cruise. Their style blends classic rock, Hawaiian vibes, reggae, Jawaiian, and Cali reggae, all performed live on ukuleles.
Unlimited champagne is included throughout the cruise, making it easy to raise a glass and celebrate Mom while enjoying the fresh ocean air and scenic views.
Upstairs on the second deck, take in sweeping views of the harbor. Lounge on the bench seats, feel the refreshing sea breeze, or grab a drink from the bar while enjoying the sunshine.
Dana Point Harbor is also full of life. Great blue herons, pelicans, and other coastal birds are often seen along the shoreline, while playful sea lions and harbor seals lounge on docks. About the Boat
Hoku Nai’a is a smooth, stable catamaran and the largest vessel in our fleet, making her an ideal setting for your Mother’s Day lunch.
This 65-foot vessel is designed for comfort, with panoramic ocean views from both the main deck and the upper observation deck. Two restrooms are conveniently located on the main deck.
Inside, you and mom will enjoy a beautifully appointed interior with upscale décor inspired by Dana Point’s rich surfing heritage and its designation as the Dolphin & Whale Watching Capital of the World®.
The fully enclosed, climate-controlled main deck features a welcoming lounge area with three sofas, followed by spacious bench seating and tables throughout the cabin. A large buffet is located toward the front of the vessel, and expansive windows on both sides provide excellent viewing.
Upstairs, the covered observation deck offers lightly padded bench seating and fresh ocean air. A full bar is available, with water, soft drinks, beer, and wine available for purchase.
