On December 22, 2015 we celebrated 20 years of dolphin and whale watching in Dana Point by holding a special Christmas-themed meal packing, fundraiser and charitable raffle in Dana Point, CA. We call it a 20th Anniversary Party with a Purpose!
Despite the very early hour and rain, hundreds of volunteers of all ages turned out at the Dana Point Community Center to celebrate the true Christmas Spirit and Feed Rwanda Hope. THANK YOU to all of our sponsors and volunteers, including special guest Lisa Bartlett, 5th District Supervisor, and her staff. We packed 125,000 meals for Rwanda!

The event was so much fun! Highlights include high energy Christmas music, hot chocolate and coffee donated by Coffee Importers, breakfast from Fresh Grill Foods, a special visit from Santa, yummy candy canes, prizes and a raffle, and last but not least Mrs. Capt. Dave’s triple fudge brownies!
For the last seven years, Capt. Dave’s has sponsored the purchase and packing of over 500,000 meals with Kids Around the World, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families who have been affected by war, poverty, illness, and natural disasters. Kids Around the World is part of the solution to world hunger. They have provided much needed nourishing food to children in 18 different countries, including the U.S. and developing countries across the globe. One box of 36 packages feeds 216 children and one pallet feeds over 14,000! The food is a rice and soy mix fortified with 21 vitamins and minerals, 6 dehydrated vegetables and seasoning. This soy (52% protein) and nutrient rich formula reverses the starvation process and its effects.
