First Annual Dana Point IlluminOcean
If you’re joining us for the Boat Parade, arrive early to explore Dana Point’s brand new light show!
This holiday season, the lights come to life at Dana Point IlluminOcean. This wonderland by the sand shines bright as Southern California’s nightly must-sea with an imaginative twist on a holiday lighting tradition. And with over one mile of larger-than-life sea sculptures and moving light tunnels dotting the coastline, every step is sure to enchant, excite, and electrify your night. See the lights. When: November 26, 2014 to January 4, 2015
Hours: Sun – Thurs: 5 – 10 p.m. / Fri- Sat: 5 – 11 p.m.
Where: Dana Point Harbor
From octopus and sharks, to starfish and surfers, the dazzling displays are highlighted by a towering glow-motion tree, light tunnels stretching longer than a football field and over a dozen gigantic lighting sculptures – so big you can walk through and inside the belly of a glowing 40-foot Blue whale!
As your stroll through the colorful collection of immersive attractions, every step is filled with vibrant sights and sounds while roaming street performers entertain crowds, glow merchandise shines and “Whale Eyes” 3D glasses give a must-see holographic look at this holiday spectacle.
Our Dolphin Deck will be open late (until 9 p.m.) so be sure to drop by and pick up a pair of “Whale Eyes” 3D glasses! We’ll also have hot coffee, hot chocolate, snacks, IlluminOcean glow in the dark t-shirts, and more available for purchase.
